The year was 1957. Souped up Chevys prowled the streets and everybody liked Ike. While the 50's were in full swing another era was ending: the production of $1 U.S. Silver Certificates. Like the classic cars of the 50's, these Series 1957 $1 Silver Certificates are seldom seen. We located a small original hoard of these vintage Uncirculated $1 bills, once redeemable at banks for a silver dollar. Each bill features the distinctive blue U.S. Treasury seal.
