When these gorgeous, oversized notes were banned in 1933, millions were
recalled and destroyed by the Treasury. Today, while legal to own them, they
are difficult to find; in fact, Gold Certificates are rarer than gold coins
of the era, but surprisingly more affordable! With gold engraving on the
back, they were the last large-size $20 Gold Certificates issued. The note
features George Washington's portrait, a gold seal and serial number. In
Very Fine condition, it comes presented in a clear acrylic holder.
