In 1926 the Scopes Monkey Trial captivated the nation's attention. Evolution was on trial and EVERYONE had an opinion, including Mint Engraver John Sinnock (later designer of the Roosevelt Dime). Unlike others, though, he had the ability to make his opinion known. Allegedly, he re-engraved the word GOD on the motto "In God We Trust" on the 1926 Peace Dollar making it pop off the surface in high relief! We've located a small number in PCGS and NGC holders and now you can "inherit the wind" with this historic "Peace of God" Silver Dollar!
