The 2009 Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated Silver Kangaroos from the Royal Australian Mint are the latest in the series which started in 1993 featuring the iconic symbol of Australia. This year's design by Ken Done features a kangaroo in silhouette. This is the longest running coin series ever issued by the Royal Australian Mint. The coins are struck in a hefty one full troy ounce of 99.9% silver and are a massive 40 mm in diameter. Available in Proof and Frosted Uncirculated versions. Only 20,000 of each were minted.
