These First-Year Carson City Morgans Were Twice-Issued!

The first Morgan Silver Dollars were struck at the Carson City Mint in 1878 from silver extracted out of the Comstock Lode, the largest silver find in the United States up to that time. Although some of these Morgan Silver Dollars were released into circulation, many were not. They were shipped to the U.S. Treasury in Washington D.C., where they languished, virtually unnoticed until the 1970s. When they were discovered, collectors salivated at the prospect of obtaining them for their very own!

The General Services Administration (GSA) held several sales of these coins, packaging them in unique acrylic holders. Over the years, most of these holders were busted open for their prize inside, leaving only a limited number of the unopened original issues left. Now, you can own this beautiful Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) first-year Carson City Morgan in its original and intact GSA-issued acrylic holder.

Don't wait any longer to score this gorgeous Morgan in original GSA packaging. Order yours now!
