1892-1915 50 Cent Barber VF
Shave and a Haircut Times Two!
The old ditty "shave and haircut, two bits" explains in a nutshell why these 90% silver Barber Half Dollars are so hard to find today. Fifty cents was a lot of money when they were minted between 1892 and 1916, and it was a lot of money again during the Great Depression. Almost all of these halves wore down to nothing. Finding them in Very Fine and Brilliant Uncirculated condition today is a real challenge, and getting enough to offer here was a huge effort. We suggest you snap these up before we post the "Sold Out" notice.
