1892-1916 10 Cent Barber Silver G-VF 10pc
Miss Liberty Takes Center Stage on a Legendary Dime Design
When U.S. Mint engraver Charles Barber designed the new dime to be struck in 1892, he looked to Greek and Roman designs as well as 19th century French coins for inspiration. The resulting Liberty design was so popular that it was also used on the Half Dollar of the time. The Barber Dime was minted all the way up through 1916, and saw the Depressions of the 1890s and 1930s. This meant his dimes were used until virtually all of them wore out. This is one coin that is never seen in circulation. Many were lost to the ravages of time. Now you can own 10 Dimes struck 100 years ago, in Good (G) to Very Fine (VF) condition. Don’t delay. They’re becoming harder and harder to find as time goes by. Dates vary.
