Kick Off Your Wheatback Cent Collection!

The Lincoln Cent is one of the most popular and recognizable coins ever struck by the U.S. Mint, and for many of us, it’s the coin that opened our eyes to the world of coin collecting when we found our very first Wheatback Cent. Struck from 1909 to 1958, these Lincoln Cents feature a pair of wheat stalks on the reverse instead of the Lincoln Memorial that replaced it in 1959 — a long-running design that was replaced in 2008 by today’s Shield reverse design. If you ever manage to find a vintage Wheatback Cent in your pocket change, it’s truly a cause for celebration!

Not only does this set contain 25 Wheatback Pennies, but each coin is different — either a different date or different mint mark. No two coins will have both the same date and mint mark! Plus, these coins will also come in Very Good to Extremely Fine (VF–XF) condition, a nice collector grade for vintage coins that are literally bursting with a history encompassing an era that witnessed World War I, the Roaring ’20s, the Great Depression and World War II.

This is without a doubt a great starter set for your collection — and we’ve even included a Lincoln coin album so you can enter your new coins and decide which to seek out next! Grab your “Wheaties” now!
