1909/8-P 20 Dollar Gold Saint Gaudens NGC MS60 Rive d'Or
The First and Only Double Eagle Overdate -- 1908 and 1909 on the Same Coin!
These beautiful $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles feature the only overdate found in the entire series, with the date of 1909 struck over the original date of 1908. This coin comes to us from the River d'Or hoard, which famously saved many U.S. gold coins from the melting pot after all U.S. Gold currency was recalled in 1934. It has been estimated by U.S. gold expert Jeff Garrett that only 10% of all vintage U.S. gold ever struck still exists today, making this coin a true rarity that you'll want to add to your collection.
Graded as Mint-State-60 (MS60) condition and certified coming from the River d'Or hoard by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), this beautiful coin is an incredible find. But don't delay -- we've only managed to acquire a few of the highly sought after overdated Double Eagles. Secure yours by ordering today!
