1921-S Morgan Silver Dollar PCGS/NGC MS63
The Year the Morgan Returned for One Final Release!
Facing lower-than-expected demand and a dwindling supply of silver bullion, the United States Mint shut down production of Morgan Silver Dollars in 1904. But in 1921, to replenish supplies after victory in World War I, the U.S. Mint fired up silver dollar production once again. The plan was to transition to the Peace Dollar, but they needed to get tens of millions of silver dollars out fast. So, for one year only, the Morgan returned! And though many of these historic coins have been subsequently melted or worn down, we’ve procured a selection of last-year-issue San Francisco Mint-struck Morgans!
- MAGNIFICENT MORGANS! -- These are the Morgan Silver Dollars you've come to love, featuring Miss Liberty's profile on one side and a bald eagle clutching an olive branch and arrows in its talons on the other.
- SUPERB SAN FRANCISCO CRAFTSMANSHIP! -- These are the last Morgans ever to be produced at the San Francisco mint, struck at the famous "Granite Lady."
- AUTHENTIC U.S. LEGAL TENDER -- Of course, each of these 90% fine silver coins is one dollar U.S. legal tender. (They are silver dollars, after all!)
- CERTIFIED MINT STATE -- Your 1921 Morgan will come certified Mint State-63 (MS63) by either Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) -- the specific service that graded the coin you receive will vary between the two. This distinction means that your Morgan will feature good strikes, surviving over a century with only moderate marks or hairlines -- not a small feat! In addition, your coin will be sonically sealed in an acrylic holder, giving you the best in protection while granting clear sightlines into every beautiful detail.
- AMONG THE LAST TO SURVIVE! -- Facing everything from circulation wear to the heat of smelters, 85% of the millions of Morgans originally minted have disappeared according to expert estimates! Not counting those squirreled away in collections, beautiful Mint State-condition Morgans like these are getting harder to find!
Don’t let this chance to own the last of the Morgans disappear -- order yours now!
