1942-P 5-50 Cent Silver Collection NGC PF67 4pc
Wartime Silver Collection
This 4-coin set includes coins struck in 1942 while the United States was engaged in World War II. Each coin is in proof condition, struck by the U.S. mint just for collectors. You'll get a 1942 War Nickel, Mercury Dime, Washington Quarter and Walking Liberty Half Dollar, all match-graded by NGC in fantastic Proof-67 (PF67) condition.
Based on current NGC population reports, only 242 of these sets could ever be put together--and a scant 22 could exist in better condition. In other words, securing this entire set now puts you in a fantastic class of coin collectors.
Examine these coins and you’ll notice that they include two classic designs: the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. You’ll also note that we called the five-cent piece a "War Nickel," as this is the first year that the U.S. Mint changed the composition of their five-cent pieces in order to eliminate nickel from the coins and pass that metal to the military for the war effort.
It’s an incredible set, but only two exist in our vaults. You don't want to miss out on this incredible set, so click add to cart right now!
