Millions of collectors began with this version of the Lincoln Cent, which was retired in 1958. Rarely seen in circulation from any mint, the coin saw just 35% of its entire mintage struck in Denver. And what makes this 1948-D Lincoln Wheat-Back Cent even more fantastic is that it has been graded by either the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) or the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) as being in incredible Gem Uncirculated Mint State-66 (MS66) condition, meaning it features its full original luster, above average eye appeal and no hairlines or other imperfection visible to the naked eye.
