The Good, Better and Best News About the 1986-S Proof Silver Eagle
The 1986-S First-Year Proof Silver Eagle is a tough coin to find - certainly tougher to find than we thought. Collectors are always asking us for Proof Silver Eagles from 1986, which is the first year in the series. So we thought, well, collectors want 'em, so let's go out and round up a bunch. Were we in for a surprise! After months of searching, we were able to find a few hundred Proofs. The GOOD news is, we have the coins now. The BETTER news is that each grades Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) Proof-70 Deep Cameo (PR70 DCAM). But, the BEST news is, each is also hand-signed by Mr. John Mercanti, the coin's designer.
