1986–2000 Silver Dollar Landmark Set PCGS PR 69 Deep Cameo Signed by John Mercanti

This 3-coin set features the following Silver Dollar landmark-themed commemoratives designed by John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint.

The set includes:

1986-S Statue of Liberty – mintage: 723,635

Mercanti designed the obverse of this coin featuring "Liberty Enlightening the World", more popularly known as the Statue of Liberty. She rises in the foreground, with the Ellis Island immigration center – the "Gateway to America" – behind her. This commemorative was struck to honor the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. It is arguably the most popular U.S. commemorative silver dollar in the series.

1994-S U.S. Capitol – mintage: 68,332

Mercanti designed the reverse of this coin featuring the motif of a shield decorated with American flags and surmounted by an eagle is based on the central area of a stained-glass window near the House and Senate grand staircases. This commemorative was struck to honor the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Capitol.

2000-P Library of Congress – mintage: 53,264

Mercanti designed the reverse of the Library of Congress commemorative featuring the dome of the main Library of Congress building in Washington D.C.The Library of Congress silver dollar was struck to commemorate the 200th anniversary of its founding.

Each and every coin is graded by PCGS and is in near perfect MS69 condition. Each and every coin will also include John Mercanti's hand-signed signature secured in the PCGS coin holder. Each coin is struck in .900 silver, is 38.1 mm in diameter and weighs 26.73 grams. This collection will include the impressive 158-page book, American Silver Eagles (2nd Edition), written by John M.
