Exclusive Offering: The 1990 Silver Eagle PR69 Deep Cameo Proof – signed by John Mercanti

Serious collectors are always on the lookout for coins that take their collection to the next level - and the John Mercanti-signed 1990 Silver Eagle PR69 Deep Cameo Proof delivers.

Exclusively available from GovMint.com, these coins have been judged near-perfect grade by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), with the additional designation of Deep Cameo (DCAM). This means that you can expect a stunning mirrored background with deeply frosted images that result in a dramatic, highly coveted contrast. What makes these coins truly special, however, is that they have been hand-signed by John Mercanti, former Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint.

You'll immediately note the impressive looks of the 1990 $1 Silver Eagle when you first see this coin in person. The obverse design has a rich and treasured history, based on the iconic "Walking Liberty" image created by Adolph A. Weinman for the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a coin that was in circulation from 1916 to 1947. This beloved design features Lady Liberty striding boldly across an open plain. One of her arms extends toward the sun as she carries olive branches in her other arm. Also inscribed on the obverse is "1990" and "LIBERTY," and the phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST."

The John Mercanti-designed reverse of the Silver Eagle portrays a heraldic eagle rising behind a shield. In its talons, it grasps an olive branch and multiple arrows, echoing the Great Seal of the United States. Thirteen stars surmount the eagle, and the reverse's inscription includes "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

This $1 coin is struck in 1 oz. of .999 silver, and is part of a series first minted in 1986 at the San Francisco Mint. The silver content is backed by the U.S. government. Importantly, proof coins such as your 1990 Silver Eagle are struck in much smaller mintages than their Brilliant Uncirculated counterparts—making these coins ideal for experienced collectors and silver stackers alike. And, since it is a PR69 graded coin, you can expect your Silver Eagle to be virtually "as struck" with its full original luster.

Beauty and practicality shine from each of these exceptional Silver Eagles, but our stock is limited. Act now to complete your collection today!
