2004 1 Dollar 1-oz Silver Eagle PCGS PR69 Mercanti Signed
2004 Silver Eagle Proof-69 With John Mercanti's Signature
This 2004 Silver Eagle Grades Proof-69 (PR69) by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and features a label with the genuine signature of John Mercanti, the designer of the coin's reverse. Each Mercanti-signed Silver Eagle is exclusive to Govmint.com - no one else has these available. Proof Silver Eagles are highly collectible, and are struck in much smaller mintages than their Brilliant Uncirculated counterparts.
As Chief Engraver, John Mercanti designed the reverse of the Silver Eagle. He has produced more coin and medal designs than any employee in United States Mint history (dating back to 1792). The U.S. Mint has only employed 12 Chief Engravers since 1792.
Each coin is authenticated and certified by PCGS, which is one of the leading third-party coin grading companies in the world. Past year Silver Eagles keep getting harder and harder to find. It has now been over ten years since this coin was struck. They're not easy to find. We're pleased to be able to offer it to you now, but we don't know how long it will continue to be available.
