2009 Silver Eagle Dollars Graded Perfect Mint State-70 Early Releases by NGC

The U.S. Mint failed to meet the overwhelming demand for the 2008 Silver Eagles, which lead the U.S. Mint to briefly suspend distribution and ultimately ration the quantities supplied to authorized dealers.  Once the 2009’s became available, the demand overwhelming right out of the gate out of fear that production of 2009’s could be suspended during the year.

This caused collectors to sock away the 2009 Silver Eagles when they were released. As a result, few took advantage of securing the 'Early Releases' designation by having their coins graded at NGC in the first 30 days of release.

As a result, 2009 Silver Eagles graded Mint State-70 Early Releases by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) can be hard to find.

We recently secured a small number of these tough coins. Add them to your collection before our supply disappears!

MS70
This is the highest grade a coin can achieve, based off the internationally accepted 70-point Sheldon grading scale. A distinction of Mint State-70, otherwise known as MS70, means your perfectly-graded coin has no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification, displaying all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended.
Pedigree
Early Releases
A designation of Early Releases (ER) means that your coin or proof was among the first struck by the mint and was certified within the first 30 days of issue. Collectors seek out these coins and proofs because they are produced with new dies and considered to have sharper strikes and deeper mirrors than those that are stuck later. Also, the population of coins labeled First Releases is only a fraction of the total mintage!
