The Oldest Stained Glass Window
Situated in the heart of Germany, the Augsburg Cathedral dates back to the 11th century. And some of the cathedral's stained glass windows are the oldest examples of the art form still in their original location. This 2012 Silver Augsburg Cathedral Silver Commemorative celebrates these windows with a replica of the window showing the prophet Daniel. It's embedded in the 50 gram sterling silver coin, which also shows the interior and exterior of the church. Only 999 were struck in an antique finish. Stained glass window coins are extremely popular with collectors, and this Augsburg Cathedral issue has a very low mintage. Already sold out at the mint. Secure it in your collection now!
