2015 Isle of Man 1-oz Silver Elizabeth II Proof NGC PF70UCAM
Celebrate The Queen's Record-Breaking Reign
On September 9, 2015 Queen Elizabeth II surpassed Queen Victoria's record to become the longest reigning monarch in over 1,200 years. Pobjoy Mint released this Isle of Man legal-tender One Crown coin to commemorate this incredible milestone. Each is struck in 28.28 grams of 92.5% fine silver and comes in Proof-70 Ultra Cameo (PF70UC) condition graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The obverse features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and the reverse features an image of Her Highness on horseback taken from the Queen's original Great Seal of the Realm. The Great Seal is a seal that is used to symbolize the Sovereign's approval of important state documents. Sealing wax is melted into a metal mold and impressed into a wax disc that is attached by cord or ribbon to documents that the Monarch wishes to make official. Each time a new Monarch accedes to the throne, a new Great Seal is produced and is only replaced for a particular Monarch if the Silver plate wears out. Also included on the reverse are the dates 6th February 1952 – 9th September 2015, signifying the date the Queen took reign and the date she became the longest reigning monarch. Each comes in a Pobjoy Mint wood presentation case with a Mint certificate of authenticity. The mintage is limited to only 10,000. Secure yours before they sell out!
