2016 100 Milligram 24kt Gold Aurum Liberty Foil Note
Add the Gold Foil Liberty Note to Your Collection
Thanks to the passage of the Utah Legal Tender Act in 2011, a growing number of merchants and vendors in Utah are willing to accept a new currency called “Goldback Notes” as payment. These wafer-thin notes are being struck by Portland, Oregon-based Valaurum, Inc., whose primary product is the Aurum®, a thin layer of gold sandwiched between layers of protective polyester.
Actually, the word “thin” doesn’t even begin to describe the gold foil. Valaurum uses a proprietary process that produces precise quantities of gold that are only 404 nanometers (nm) thick. Just how thin is a nanometer? It’s equal to one billionth of a meter making these gold foil notes approximately as thick as 1% of the width of a human hair.
Now you can obtain one of these unique gold foil notes with this 1/10th gram beauty crafted in 99.9% fine gold. The design on this 2016-dated note features a youthful Liberty striding forward with the United States Capitol Building and White House in the background. The gold weight and purity are listed in the corners.
Each Liberty Aurum contains 100 milligrams (1/10 gram) of highly pure 24-karat (99.9%) gold protected between layers of durable polyester. As one of the firsts of its kind, the Gold Aurum Liberty Foil Note has created a new standard for the collectible precious metals market. While this note is not legal tender, it IS a great way to own a verifiable unit of gold at an affordable price. Your Gold Aurum Liberty Foil Note will come displayed in an archival quality currency sleeve. Click one—or several—to your cart today!
