The coin features the traditional portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on one side along with the year and denomination. The reverse features the traditional maple leaf design and the legend CANADA, along with the coin's weight and purity.
This legal tender coin also features the special micro-engraving security feature first introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2013. Under magnification, you'll be able to see the laser-engraved maple leaf on the reverse side of the coin, with a tiny '16' (the year of issue) at its center.
