50th Anniversary of Star Trek!

Mission of the Enterprise…

"To explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no man has gone before." The Enterprise was a vital piece of the Star Trek series; providing the setting for most episodes as the crew was completing their 5 years of space exploration. In the Original Series the Enterprise models were altered numerous times, adding more details and lighting or just building a larger model entirely. The Enterprise itself was just as significant as the crew; a starship that was truly ahead of its time.

Landing the Enterprise!

When the original series was being developed, the creators also found that it was too expensive to build sets for each planet the Enterprise would have landed on. To circumvent landing on each planet, they moved the crew to various planets via teleportation. The teleporting device became one of the most famous features on the Enterprise, “Beam Me Up, Scotty!”
