The U.S. Mint’s American Silver Eagle program marked its 30th Anniversary in 2016. Since its debut in 1986, the popular bullion coin, with Adolph A. Weinman’s gorgeous Walking Liberty design and John Mercanti’s Heraldic Eagle, had become an integral part of silver collections all over the world.
