A Silver Set of the First-Ever Jade Gemstone Moon Festival Pandas!

Each year, China’s Moon Festival Panda™ series delivers beautiful Panda designs commemorating the nation’s Moon Festival, a mid-Autumn celebration similar to America’s Thanksgiving, and one of the largest and most important holidays in Chinese culture. And for 2018, the skilled artists at the world-famous China Mint did something we’ve never seen before – strike silver Moon Festival Pandas that for the first time ever feature special jade gemstones embedded into their surface!

Now you can add all three medals – an uncirculated version and two proofs– of this stunning silver release to your collection – each graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in perfect condition! The proofs will come in Proof-70 (PF70) condition and the uncirculated version will come in Mint State-70 (MS70) condition; distinctions that mean the perfectly-graded medals will have ZERO imperfections – showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended! In addition, your Pandas will be certified as First Day of Issue (FDI) medals by NGC – independent authentication that they were released by the mint during the premier day of the series' issue.

While all three medals are struck in 99.9% fine silver, the proof and uncirculated versions feature different designs. The two proof versions show one of China’s iconic panda bears climbing up the branches of a bamboo tree, his eyes gazing longingly at the moon shimmering above in the evening sky – only the moon has been replaced by a jade gemstone! The uncirculated medal features not one but TWO panda bears. One is climbing up the branches of a bamboo tree. Below, another panda is seen feasting on bamboo leaves. Both have their eyes fixed on the evening moon. Again, the moon has been replaced by a jade gemstone. These captivating designs are sure to capture anyone’s heart! The common reverse of each medal depicts the Great Wall of China with an insert floating above that represents the Chinese map of the Heavens – a sphere that dates back to the 1st Century B.C.

These medals are extremely limited. The China Mint struck just 2,888 uncirculated medals and only 1,888 each of the 88-gram and one-ounce silver proofs. As you’ve probably noticed, the number “8” figures prominently in the edition limits for these exquisite silver medals. That’s incredibly auspicious because according to Chinese folklore, the number “8” is considered to be the luckiest number. And, with so few medals available, only a lucky few will ever get the chance to own even one of these pieces let alone the complete silver set! Fortunately for you, GovMint is the exclusive worldwide distributor and you can reserve one of these magnificent sets for your collection today! Your silver Moon Festival Pandas will come beautifully displayed in a deluxe presentation box and accompanied by a booklet and certificate of authenticity.
