Instead, you see an entire herd, including a close-up image of an elephant’s face.

Minted using a highly complex minting technique and a six-piece die, then finished with a special antiquing solution to give it more gravitas (often a hand-applied finish), each sphere is a work of both love and incredible skill. A piece like this takes time and patience, so it’s no wonder that the 2020 Big Five Elephant Silver Kilo Sphere has a very limited mintage of just 199 pieces worldwide.
