2021 Morgan Silver Dollar Celebrates The Centennial Of The Last Morgan

The Morgan Silver Dollar is America’s most popular and heavily collected vintage coin, case closed. The Same Iconic Design Struck in 99.9% Silver

Featuring the same designs created by then-Assistant Mint Engraver George T. Morgan, the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar differs from its vintage ancestors only in that instead of being struck in 26.73 grams of 90% fine silver, it has been minted in .858 troy ounces of highly pure 99.9% silver. The rest is all still there — the same profile of Lady Liberty, a cap, flora, and a crown incused with the word “LIBERTY” adorn her head, while 13 stars, “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and the 2021 date are engraved around the rim of the coin. The familiar reverse returns as well showing an eagle with outstretched wings clasping arrows and an olive branch, accompanied by a wreath. The same inscriptions— “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “ONE DOLLAR” are there to encircle the eagle.

Near-Perfect Uncirculated Coins From Among The First Released

Each coin available here was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and features a special “O” privy mark. Since the New Orleans branch mint no longer exists, the Philadelphia Mint struck these coins with a “O” mint mark so that every mint that struck the Morgan Silver Dollar was represented in this centennial release. In addition, each coin available here has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in flawless Mint State-70 (MS70) condition, a distinction that means these perfectly-graded coins have ZERO imperfections — showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended.
