The American Palladium Eagle is a relative newcomer to the United States Mint’s American Eagle Program and gives collectors the opportunity to add legal tender palladium coins to their collections whose weight, content, and .9995 purity are guaranteed by the United States government. Stuck at the West Point Mint from .9995 palladium, 1-ounce Palladium Eagles carry a $25 face value. While the series is re-occurring, the United States Mint has been alternating the finishes they release. In 2021, the United States Mint is a stunning Proof Palladium Eagle, the first Proof issued since 2018.
The American Palladium Eagle series first debuted in 2017 as a stunning Brilliant Uncirculated bullion issue. In 2018 a series of collector’s Palladium Eagles that feature different finishes started being struck by the Mint. A Proof coin was issued in 2018, a Reverse Proof coin was issued in 2019, and in 2020, an Uncirculated version.
