Fourth Coin In The U.S. Mint’s 1st Amendment Series

Next to the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution is the most important document in American history. Ratified in 1788, it is THE supreme law of the United States, and its first 10 amendments are collectively known as the Bill of Rights. Of the amendments, the First Amendment guarantees five rights our Founding Fathers felt were the most important for the country: freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and the right to petition the government. To celebrate these vitally important freedoms, the U.S. Mint began a five-year Platinum Eagle series in 2021. Now you can get the fourth release in the series with this 2024 Right to Assemble Proof struck in a full ounce of highly pure 99.95% platinum.

A Metaphor For Our Country’s Growth

This magnificent Platinum Eagle features a bold American Eagle in flight holding an olive branch in its talons on the reverse. This design will be the common reverse for the entire series. The one-year-only obverse of this $100 legal-tender coin depicts several types of oak leaves assembled between the inscription “WITH RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE LIBERTY SPREADS.” The design is an eloquent representation of the Unites States as each coin in the series uses the life cycle of the oak tree as it matures from seedling to a mighty tree as a metaphor of the country’s growth as a nation.

Perfect Platinum Proofs From Among The First Issued

Each coin available here was struck at the West Point Mint in gorgeous proof condition, meaning they were expertly crafted by the mint from hand-selected planchets, polished dies and multiple strikes to produce beautifully frosted details rising over mirror-like fields. What’s more, each 2024-W One-Ounce Platinum Eagle Right to Assemble Proof available in this offer has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) as being in flawless Proof-70 Ultra Cameo (PF70UC) condition.

In addition, NGC has certified that these proofs are First Day of Issue (FDI) coins, a designation that means they were received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository by the release date or on the business day within 24 hours of the official release date. Collectors seek out these coins because they are produced with new dies and considered to have sharper strikes and deeper mirrors than those that are struck later. Also, the population of coins labeled First Day of Issue is only a fraction of the total mintage.

Personally Signed By One Of The Numismatic World’s Most Influential People

As a final touch, each coin available in this offer will come sonically sealed in an acrylic holder and encapsulated with a label personally signed by AMS Ambassador David J. Ryder. The former 34th and 39th Director of the U.S. Mint who served from 1992 to 1993 and from 2018 to 2021, Ryder was named by Coin World as one of its “Most Influential People in Numismatics.” To commemorate the significant contributions that Ryder made to numismatics during his time in office, we feel very fortunate to be able to offer NGC labels featuring his hand-signed signature. Each will be accompanied by its original mint packaging that incorporates an image of the obverse design on the outer packaging sleeve along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
