The legal-tender $100 gold coin was struck by the West Point Mint in a Troy ounce of 99.99% pure 24-karat gold and features spectacular High Relief detail. The silver medal was struck by the Philadelphia Mint in a Troy ounce of highly pure 99.9% fine silver and bears the same obverse and reverse designs created by U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program designer Christopher Polentz that appear on the gold coin.
