A Design 250 Years in the Making

Germania, the stunning female personification of the people of continental Europe, has been the face of the Germania Mint ever since the first release in the series took the collecting world by storm in 2019. Now she has returned for a seventh year in 2025 with a new, one-year-only design. Ranging in sizes from a one-ounce silver dollar-sized release all the way up to a massive silver kilo, these Germania Medals are as captivating for their intricate and symbolic designs as they are for their limited mintages. Magnificent New One-Year-Only Design

This year’s release features a dynamic image of Germania proudly standing in a forest stream amid rocks craved with Germanic runes. Her laurel crown has been replaced with a golden crown marking her as a Queen. She is dressed in a form-fitting armored boddice and armed with her imperial sword Reichsscwert. Resting atop the rocks are a pair of ravens, Hugin and Munin, who act as the eyes and ears of Odin, the all-powerful deity of Norse mythology. The mythical two-headed bicephalous eagle appears on the medal’s reverse in the form of the Germania Mint’s Coat of Arms. What’s more, the perspective in the scene design widens as the medals increase in size, adding to the story, as the design varies slightly across specifications.

Flawless Medals Struck In Pure Silver & Gold

This year’s release continues the tradition of striking medals in highly pure 99.99% silver and gold. Though not legal-tender coins, each medal bears an ornamental denomination (the “Mark”) that adds another level of gravitas to the grand and distinguished series. Plus, each medal available here has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) as being in either perfect Uncirculated Mint State-70 (MS70) or flawless Proof-70 (PF70) condition, distinctions that means these perfectly-graded medals will have ZERO imperfections—showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended!
