2025 marks the fourth year of the modern Morgan and Peace Dollar series and only the third time in history that the U.S. Mint has produced a Reverse Proof Morgan and Peace Dollar. For 2025, the Mint has authorized just 160,000 sets, down from 262,500 in 2024 and 250,000 in 2023. Plus, these coins have been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) in flawless Reverse Proof 70 (REV PF70) condition. They’ve also been designated as being First Day of Issue (FDI) coins, a designation reserved for coins purchased within the first day of release and submitted to grading within the required timeframe or Advance Releases (AR), a designation reserved for just 10% of the mintage and available only to dealers who submit large quantities of qualifying coins and limited to coins received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository within one week of the ship date.
