Struck By The U.S. Mint In 99.9% Silver
This is the fourth year for the modern versions—and just the third year for the Proof versions. These are extremely popular Silver Dollars with the Uncirculated coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint and Proof coins struck at the San Francisco Mint. Unlike the vintage Morgan and Peace Dollars struck between 1878 and 1935 that were struck in 90% fine silver, each of these modern coins was struck in highly pure 99.9% silver! Just like their vintage brethren, they’re $1 legal tender and feature the same iconic designs.

Morgan Silver Dollar
The Morgan Silver Dollar, so named for its designer, U.S. Mint Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan, was struck from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921. The historic design depicts a profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse while the reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings.

Peace Silver Dollar
Struck from 1921 to 1935, the Peace Silver Dollar is a true American symbol of peace. Designer Anthony De Francisci’s obverse presents Lady Liberty wearing a crown of rays. The reverse features an eagle holding the olive branches of peace, rather than the typical olive branches and arrows of war.
