2025 China Gold and Silver Pandas—Flawless, FDI, Mint-Identified, and Hand-Signed!

First released in 1982 in gold and 1983 in silver, the China Mint's Panda coin series quickly became one of the world's most popular annual numismatic releases – and continues to be over 40 years later.  Pandas are back in 2025 with yet another adorable one-year-only reverse design, the seventh in a dynamic series- within- a- series that began back in 2019!

Here is your chance to secure 2025 Pandas struck at all three branches of the China Mint that strike Panda coins: Shenzhen (Guobao), Shanghai, and Shenyang, each identified by their mint of origin, which is a HUGE deal!

A Tale of Three Mints
When coins are struck at several mints, like these China Pandas struck at mints in Shenzhen (Guobao), Shanghai, and Shenyang, knowing a coin's mint of origin allows you to understand just how scarce the coin really is by pinpointing its exact mintage. Since the very first coins struck in the ancient world, minters have used special marks to identify where a coin was struck—leading to the idea of a coin's scarcity in relation to other similar issues.

But there are no mint marks in the world of China Pandas—with one exception, 1987.

A Particular Mint Mark Has Been Known to Hugely Impact a Coin's Collectability
Here's what legendary numismatist Jeff Garrett (former president of the American Numismatic Association [ANA] and the expert the Smithsonian Institution® consults) said on the subject of mint marks that identify where a particular coin is minted: "Collectors highly covet coins with low mintage figures. The simple initials or 'mint mark' designating where a coin was struck can add in some cases millions of dollars in value. One example is the 1927-D Double Eagle. The tiny 'D' mint mark on the 1927 Double Eagle increases the coin's value from $2,000 to $2,000,000, because only a handful of coins survived from the Denver mintage versus tens of thousands from the Philadelphia mintage."

One-Year-Only Reverse Designed by Award-Winning Chinese Artist
Each new year brings a new one-year-only reverse design to the China Panda series. But starting in 2019, those designs became a "series -within- a- series," allowing collectors to view a panda cub growing into maturity. This year marks the seventh year of the China Mint's new "cycle" of Panda designs.

The 2025 reverse design features a delightful scene of a mother panda bear eating bamboo surrounded by her two young cubs. It is the first design in 11 years to feature three bears on one coin! This adorable one-year-only design was created by award-winning Chinese coin artist Ms. Huang Qin, who also designed the popular 2022 and 2024 Panda reverses.  As always, the China Panda obverse depicts the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven (in Beijing).
