On the reverse, Liberty stands alongside Britannia, two iconic allegories that have guided their nations through centuries of challenge and change. On the left, Maklouf’s iteration of Britannia is depicted in her classic warrior’s helmet, a defining portrayal of Britain’s steadfast strength and unwavering ambition. Facing her is Mercanti’s Liberty, presented with the personified expression of American potential (as only Lady Liberty can). The text “FREEDOM” cradles the image on the right side of this resolute pairing. The obverse shows Maklouf’s 2023 effigy of King Charles III.

INNOVATIVE MINTING
These coins were struck using advanced minting techniques by Maklouf’s own Tower Mint in London. The five-ounce gold, one-ounce gold, five-ounce silver, and two-ounce silver coins have all been struck in either high relief or ultra high relief, to accentuate the masterful Liberty & Britannia design of Mercanti and Maklouf. Further, the five-ounce gold and one half-ounce gold coins were minted with specialty planchets that allowed diameters 20-30% larger than standard coins of that weight. Combined with an ultra-cameo proof finish, the result is stunning when observed from different angles and lighting.
FDI DESIGNATIONS AND SIGNED LABELING
While each coin will arrive slabbed by NGC as PF70 (Perfect 70), only a select number will be certified as First Day of Issue (FDI). This allotment refers to the select coins that Tower Mint made available on the first day of public release. Each coin will include labels hand-signed by Mercanti. All coins will ship with their original packaging and certificates of authenticity.
