The Craftsmanship of the 2026 Peace Dollars

Susan Taylor’s design is rich with symbolism and Canadian pride. It shows Lady Peace crowned with maple leaves and olive branches, extending a peace wreath as if offering it to the world. Maple leaves support her figure, while above, the sun’s rays break through clouds in the shape of a maple leaf. This imagery is complemented by Canada’s motto “A MARI USQUE AD MARE” (From sea to sea) inscribed in the sky. Drawing inspiration from the allegorical figure atop the National War Memorial in Ottawa, this design combines elements of peace, hope, and national identity. It’s a bold evolution that transforms the Peace Dollar from a simple portrait to a powerful visual narrative, all while maintaining the artistic legacy of Susan Taylor’s previous work on this beloved coin series.

An Exquisite Combination Of Three Finishes

These legal-tender coins were not only struck in highly pure silver and gold, but they brilliantly display not one, not two, but three different finishes to accentuate the detail and craft of Taylor’s incredible design. The sky and ocean in the coin’s background feature polished surfaces, Lady Peace and the sand of the coastline display high frost, and the clouds, sun, and the maple leaves upon which Lady Peace strides atop are treated with a satin finish. The combination of the three finishes is stunning enough, but when combined with the new gold & platinum plating the result is a mouthwatering effect!

The 2026 Peace Dollar Lineup

These 2026 Canada Peace Dollar Gilded Proof coins are available as:
one- and five-ounce coins struck in highly pure 99.99% silver and as one-ounce coins struck in 99.99% pure gold. The silver coins have been selectively plated in gleaming yellow gold while the gold coins were selectively plated in shimmering platinum.

Flawless Signed Proofs From Among The First Issued

In addition, the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) has graded the coins available here as being in flawless Proof-70 Ultra Cameo (PF70UC) condition, a distinction that means these perfectly-graded proofs have zero imperfections—showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended. NGC has further designated that these proofs are First Day of Issue (FDI) coins, meaning they were purchased within one day of the first day that they were made available for sale. Even better, each will come sonically sealed in a museum-quality acrylic holder and encapsulated with a label that was personally signed by Susan Taylor.
