The background features Red Rock Canyon, the state's first National Conservation Area. At the bottom one can see a tortoise, the state reptile of Nevada. Pouncing on the tortoise is a Bobcat to symbolize overcoming vices. Nestled near them is a sagebrush, the state flower of Nevada.
