It consists of an 1881-dated Morgan–the coin with the second lowest mintage from the Carson City Mint–and an 1885-dated Morgan–the coin with the lowest mintage from the Carson City Mint. Both come graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) as being in Choice Uncirculated Mint State-64 (MS64) condition.

These hefty, highly pure 90% fine silver coins circulated heavily throughout the nation–all thanks to the Comstock Lode discovered near Virginia City, Nevada. Surprisingly, the Carson City Mint struck the Morgan for only 13 years, with its total mintage for all years combined making up just 2% of the total mintage of all Morgan Silver Dollars struck between 1878 and 1921.
