Grab Your Share Of Pirate Booty In This Centuries-Old Two-Piece Set

Both coins in this two-piece set trace their origins back to the South China Sea where they may have been pillaged by renowned pirate Zheng Yi Sao and her fleet of swashbucklers more than 200 years ago! This set includes a pair of cash coins from the South China Sea that circulated during her reign as the undisputed "Pirate Queen" of the South China sea. Each coin features a simple yet striking design. The Chinese coin features the Emperor's name in Chinese characters, and the Dutch coin comes from the Dutch East Indies and features the colony/year "JAVA 18XX" on the reverse, and a VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) monogram and star on the obverse.

Zheng Yi Sao, The World's Most Famous Pirate Queen

Zheng Yi Sao is unquestionably the most successful pirates to ever terrorize the seven seas. Proving that gender was no obstacle to bringing empires to their knees, Zheng Yi Sao was so powerful that at one point she controlled the Guangdong Pirate Confederation that numbered around 50,000 pirates and 400 ships. China, Portugal, and the Dutch East India Company all had to negotiate with Zheng if they wanted their ships to travel unmolested throughout the China Sea!

Though more than two centuries old, these cash coins were minted specifically for circulation, and the harder copper/brass composition has helped the devices remain prominent. Each set will come with a custom-designed storycard that provides details about Zheng Yi Sao and her reign as the world's most famous pirate queen! Secure yours now!
