Hit The Ground Running With This 32-Piece Morgan Set!
Assembling a collection of Morgan Silver Dollars that includes every date and mint mark is no small task. That's 96 different coins from five mints across 28 years from 1878 to 1904 and 1921. Call us a crazy for trying, but we set out to assemble just such a set and after nearly a year we've been able to put together just three 32-piece sets of coins that represents every date of that run. Plus, these sets includes the mint marks from four of the five mints that struck the coin in those years–San Francisco (S), New Orleans (O), Carson City (CC), and Denver (D).
- FAMOUS "CC" MINT MARK – Morgan Silver Dollars from the Carson City Mint are the epitome of America's Wild West. Struck from silver mined from the famous Comstock Lode, coins like these jingled in the pockets of sheriffs, outlaws, cattle barons, and gamblers as they tamed the Wild West.
- FAMOUS "O" MINT MARK – The New Orleans Mint is famous for being the only American mint to be controlled by three different governing bodies during its lifetime. It was first governed by the United States of America, then the State of Louisiana when it seceded from the Union prior to the Civil War, and finally the Confederate States of America following the onset of the war. The United States regained possession in 1862. The famous "O" mint mark on the reverse of these coins is a living reminder of this historic mint's epic history.
- UNIQUE "D" MINT MARK – The Denver Mint has the distinction of having struck Morgan Dollars in only one year: 1921, making them less common than those from the other mints and highly sought-after by collectors.
- COVETED "S" MINT MARK – The San Francisco Mint was known for producing some of the highest-quality coins in the series, often resulting in Morgans with sharp strikes and fine details making these coins among the most highly prized by collectors.
Some Of The Hardest-To-Find Morgan Silver Dollars In The Series
These are truly some of the hardest coins to find in the series. That's because the New Orleans Mint struck just 29% of the total mintage, the San Francisco Mint struck just 21% of the total Mintage, the Carson City Mint struck just 2% of the total mintage, and the Denver Mint struck the Morgan for just one year in 1921. And when you consider that coin experts estimate that as few as 15% of ALL Morgan Silver Dollars struck still exist today in ANY condition you can really see why assembling a set of this magnitude is such a stunning achievement!

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:
- · AMERICA'S MOST POPULAR COIN – The Morgan Silver Dollar–so named for its designer, U.S. Mint Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan–has stood the test of time. Struck from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921, it was the coin of America's "Wild West" and jingled in the coin purses of gamblers, gunfighters, soldiers, and dance hall girls.
- · BIG SILVER COINS – Struck in 26.73 grams of highly pure 90% fine silver, the Morgan Silver Dollar is a big coin 38.1 mm in diameter. When this coin was plunked down on a counter, its weight meant real money, pure and simple.
- · CLASSIC DESIGNS – Morgan's historic design depicts a profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse while the reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings. The model used for Liberty was Miss Anna Williams of Philadelphia, who Morgan declared to have the most perfect feminine profile he had ever seen.
- · ABOUT UNCIRCULATED CONDITION – Each coin in your 1878–1921-CC-O-D-S Morgan Silver Dollar 32-Piece will come in nice About Uncirculated (AU) condition.
- · THE CASE OF THE DISAPPEARING MORGAN – Despite millions of Morgan Silver Dollars being struck from 1878 to 1921, most were lost in circulation or melted down in mass silver meltings. In fact, coin experts believe that only 15% of all Morgans ever struck remain in existence today!
The total amount of Morgan Silver Dollars has seen significant evaporation into both collections and the melting pots. Don't wait any longer; secure you 1878–1921-CC-O-D-S Morgan Silver Dollar 32-Piece now!
