These Revolutionary War-Era Notes Are Must-Haves For Currency Collectors!

By 1775, the Colonists had finally had enough and were willing to take up arms to fight the British Redcoats. They fought bravely at the Battles of Lexington and Concord as well as Bunker Hill—marking the beginning of a long war for independence that lasted until 1781.

Each Colony Printed Its Own Paper Currency

With a lack of monetary supply, each colony, as a self-governing settlement to the British Crown, began printing paper currency to alleviate the shortage, using designs of choice. That makes this three-piece set of 1775 Colonial Notes unique because it features three different colonies that printed its own notes: a $1 note from Maryland, a 1 Shillings note from Pennsylvania, and $1 note from New York. Plus, each note has been certified and graded by Paper Money Guaranty (PMG). The Maryland note was graded in Extremely Fine-40 (XF40), the Pennsylvania note was graded in Crisp Uncirculated-62 (CU62), and the New York note was graded in Very Fine-25 (VF25).

Those grades mean that two of these notes circulated but many of the details are still visible. And one note—the New York note—never circulated! Each Note features the hand-signed signature of someone witnessing the events of 1775, which was done at the time as a protection against counterfeiting.

A Glimpse At One Of The Earliest Periods Of Our Nation

This set is truly a glimpse at one of the earliest periods of our nation. They sat in the pockets of our Founding Fathers and early countrymen as they went about trying to break free of British control and forge a new nation. You'll enjoy hours seeking out the life stories behind each hand-written signature on the notes. There's no telling how many stories this collection may tell—but you'll never know unless you hurry and secure this historic collection now!
