1883–1895-CC-S-O Morgan Silver Dollar Atlanta Bank Hoard 3-pc Set NGC VF25–VF30
Atlanta Bank Hoard Morgan Silver Dollars
A shared love of coin collecting between a father and son resulted in one of the most spectacular Morgan Silver Dollar Hoards ever discovered. The genesis of this hoard began in the 1950s when a man working for the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank noticed bags of Morgan Silver Dollars stored in the bank’s vaults. Thanks to his position at the bank, he was granted certain privileges, one of which allowed him to bring his son to work where he could sort through the bags. With a list of silver dollars to search for, the boy spent hours in the bank’s counting room cherry-picking rare dates and mintmarks.
Now, more than 50 years later, that private hoard of 275 Morgan Silver Dollars has come to market, and you have the chance to own several great dates! In this offer you can secure a three-coin set that includes an 1883-CC Morgan, an 1895-S Morgan and an 1895-O Morgan. Not only has each coin been certified by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as ranging in grade from Very Fine-25 to Very Fine-30 (VF25–VF30) condition, each has also been sealed in a special acrylic holder and pedigreed with an exclusive “Atlanta Bank Hoard” label.
Each set will arrive housed in a wooden presentation case along with a storycard detailing the history of the Atlanta Bank Hoard, a storybook and checklist for Morgan Silver Dollars, an 1890s-era Mammoth Gold Mining Stock Certificate and an authentic newspaper from the 1870s–1880s era.

- STRUCK IN GLEAMING AMERICAN SILVER – Morgan Silver Dollars were struck in 90% silver from the famous Comstock Lode and measure 38.1 mm in diameter.
- LEGAL TENDER SILVER DOLLAR – Morgans were $1 legal tender and struck during the heyday of America’s Wild West era where coins were overwhelmingly preferred over paper currency.
- NICE COLLECTOR GRADE CONDITION – These coins have been certified, graded and encapsulated by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in Very Fine-25 to Very Fine-30 (VF25–VF30) condition.

- THE CASE OF THE DISAPPEARING MORGANS – While millions of Morgan Silver Dollars were struck from 1878 through 1921, massive silver meltings and the ravages of time have taken their toll. Today coin experts believe that only 15% of all Morgans ever struck remain in existence.
