3pk 2025 1oz Silver Krugerrand SS Tilawa NGC Gem Unc FDP / non-signature Label / Blue Core (3-pack)

2025-dated 1-ounce Silver Krugerrand and Britannia coins struck on planchets made from salvaged silver bars aboard the British ocean liner/freighter SS Tilawa which was sunk by a Japanese submarine on November 23, 1942 (during the World War II hostilities). Each coin features an uncirculated finish and a special privy mark the identifies it as a coin made from authentic SS Tilawa sunken treasure silver.

Premier coins will be graded and encapsulated by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) and include a special First Day of Production (FDP) designation.

Several full bars and face plates were conserved, but millions of ounces of silver have been melted and struck into a bevy of unique numismatic collectibles –allowing more collectors to own a piece of this ship's amazing history.

Each coin is legal tender of its respective issuing country:

Britannia - £2 British Pounds of the United Kingdom.

Krugerrand - 1 Rand of South Africa.

The SS Tilawa Salvage Silver Series offers collectors a rare opportunity to own a piece of World War II maritime history. After being lost for over seven decades, the sunken liner was discovered in 2014, and the silver was salvaged in 2017. Though the treasure was originally awarded to the salvage company who discovered it, that ruling was overturned in the Spring of 2024 – which gave the rights to the South African Government.
