Last Five Years of the Liberty Head Nickel
More than 100 years ago, the last Liberty Head Nickel was struck by the U.S. Mint. It was replaced by the celebrated Buffalo Nickel, making the Liberty Head Nickel an often-forgotten piece of American numismatic history. Another reason you may not see many of these coins is that not many were minted! While the final year of the traditional Jefferson Nickel saw 824 million struck, and the entire Buffalo Nickel series saw 1.2 billion coins struck, the entire Liberty Head Nickel series struck from 1883–1912 saw just 601 million coins!
This five-coin set brings together the final five years of the Liberty Head Nickel struck from 1908 to 1912, including a first-and-only release struck at the Denver Mint, the 1912-D Liberty Head Nickel. These “Turn of the Century” coins were designed by Charles Barber and each comes in Good to Very Good (G–VG) condition. In addition, the entire set will come housed in an 3" x 5" custom display card protected by a clear rectangular case.
Most people haven’t heard of theses coins let alone along even seen one. Now you can own the last five coins in the series — the Liberty Head Nickel’s Last Hurrah — thanks to this special offer. Order your set today!
