Discover The Treasures Of America

Each U.S. state holds its own “treasure,” pieces of the land that reveal the nation’s awe-inspiring natural and cultural riches. From Alaska’s shimmering northern lights to Hawaii’s volcanic black-sand beaches, this unique material defines America’s diverse spirit. Thanks to the Mesa Grande Sovereign Nation’s new “Treasures of the United States” series, a representative sample from each state can be part of your collection.

Carefully Selected “Treasures” From Each State

Here you can secure the first five coins in the series, legal-tender $5 coins dedicated to Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut. Set into the center of each is a capsule featuring a “treasure” associated with that state:

  • Delaware features actual sea shells taken from Delaware’s Atlantic coastline.
  • Pennsylvania contains a pinch of pyrite, a geological marvel known as “Fools Gold” found in abundance throughout the state.
  • New Jersey includes a pinch of amber, fossilized tree resin found primarily in New Jersey’s Middlesex County.
  • Georgia contains bits of peach pits. Georgia is famous for its peach trees and peach pits are used in creating flavored liqueurs, syrups, extracts, baking, and to make jelly and ice cream.
  • Connecticut features bits of mica, the name for a group of silicate minerals that can be split into thin, flexible sheets. It’s famously present in the state’s pegmatite and metamorphic rocks.

Not only were these coins struck by The Native American Mint in an ounce of brass, but they come with a unique Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) antiqued finish and eye-popping High Relief (HR) details that really make the designs stand out. What’s more, these coins were co-designed by GOVMINT Ambassador David J. Ryder. The former 34th and 39th Director of the U.S. Mint, Ryder served from 1992 to 1993 and from 2018 to 2021 and was named by Coin World as one of its “Most Influential People in Numismatics.” In reviewing this series, Ryder said, “If I had known about these when we did the State Quarters collection, the U.S. Mint would have produced these instead!”
