1882 U.S. Proof Set PCGS PR61–PR65
1882 U.S. Proof Set
This set has it all! Every elusive United States circulating coin from 1882 — including that year’s Trade Dollar and 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar — in gorgeous jaw-dropping Proof condition!
Each of these coins comes from an incredibly limited mintage, but here you can have each one certified by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) in proof grades ranging from beautiful Proof-61 (PR61) condition all the way up to Gem Proof-65 (PR65) condition.
The set begins with an 1882 Indian Head Cent in PR63 RB condition, followed by the Three Cent Nickel in PR65 condition and the Shield Nickel in PR64 condition. Each of these coins had a limited mintage of just 3,100 coins.
Up next is a trio of Seated Liberty designs — the Dime, the Quarter, and the Half Dollar — all in PR63 condition and all limited to just 1,100 coins. And that’s in 1882 — how many could possibly have existed until today?
Rounding out this historic set is an 1882 Trade Dollar in PR61 condition, coming from an original mintage of just 1,097 coins, and the 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar in PR63 condition. Just 1,100 of these Morgans were struck in Proof condition.
That’s eight coins in all, and each and every one is a scarce piece of American history that still shines in glorious Proof condition!
Previously, we offered a 1936 Proof Set. That set sold for well over $10,000, and with much higher mintages. This set brings you 25% more coins in it and 7,000-plus fewer minted. Never released as a proof set by the U.S. Mint like today’s highly coveted proof sets, you could spend a pretty penny and a lot of time trying to source these 1882-dated proof coins on your own. But we’ve done all the work for you. It’s a collector’s dream at a great value!
