Louis Golino is an award-winning journalist and writer currently covering modern U.S. and world coins and most other numismatic topics. A long-time collector, he started writing about coins in 2009. His approximately 1,000 articles on coins have been published in a wide range of print and online publications and his work has been referenced in books and articles by other authors.

He has also written for several coin dealer websites and blogs over the years, including GovMint’s Coin Authority and Modern Coin Mart’s Infovault since 2014.

Since 2011 he has written a column for CoinWeek.com called “The Coin Analyst” – a two-time winner of the Numismatic Literary Guild’s awards for best column on modern U.S. coins in 2021 and best web site column in 2015. He has also been a regular contributor of columns and feature articles for Coin World and The Numismatist since 2015. In 2017 he received another NLG award, and in 2018 he received an award from the Pennsylvania Association of Numismatists.
