2020 Japan 45-gm Gold National Treasure Jisho-ji Commemorative Medal NGC PF70
Worldwide Exclusive — Never Before Available Outside Japan!
Numismatic releases from Japan can often be tough to track down. Some, nearly impossibly so. The nation tends to release only small amounts of its mintages for overseas distribution. And in the case of the Japan Mint’s National Treasure Medal series, it’s never happened before now! This 2020 release marks the very first time in the 10-plus-year history of this series that the Japan Mint is releasing a small portion of the gold and silver mintages to foreign nations.
Of the 1,100 2020 Jisho-ji Gold Natural Monuments Proof medals being struck, only 2.3% (25 pieces) are even available overseas distribution! We believe we may have the only medals available in the Western hemisphere!
A Beautiful Example of Traditional Japanese Architecture
Struck in 45 grams of 99.9% pure gold, these medals display Jisho-ji, the second largest Japanese temple and a beautiful example of traditional Japanese architecture and garden design. Kannon Hall, sand-made Kogetsudai, and Ginshadan in Jisho-ji are depicted on the obverse. Kogetsudai means “moon viewing platform,” and it is also a representation of Japanese world-famous Fuji Mountain. Togudo Hall (the oldest existing tea ceremony room in Japan) and a pond are featured on the reverse.
