1971's Diamonds Are Forever, was the seventh entry in the Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli-produced James Bond film series. Starring the incomparable Sean Connery as super-suave secret agent 007, the film had everything: A pair of droll assassins named Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd who trade quips as they murder their victims; the female bodyguard duo of Bambi and Thumper who nearly finish off 007 for good; actor, country music star and breakfast sausage pitchman Jimmy Dean as a Howard Hughes-like billionaire named Willard Whyte; and Ernst Stavro Blofeld, one of Bond's all-time nastiest and megalomaniacal villains.

To pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the film in 2021, The Royal Mint struck these precious metal bars in ten full ounces of highly pure 99.99% silver.
