Hong Kong Coins Past and Present Album 18pc
Hong Kong's History, as Told by Coins
This eighteen-piece collection is made up of legal-tender coins in circulated condition. They represent six coins struck during the British Rule Era, The Return Year (1997) and HKSAR. According to the most basic law of Hong Kong Special Administration Region, there is a one country, two systems policy. Hong Kong is allowed to enjoy a degree of autonomy without China imposing their socialist economic system on them. Each era of the coins includes a copper nickel 10-cent, 20-cent, 50-cent, $1, $2 and $5 coin. During the British Colonial era, all coins bear the official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse along with the legend in English. Depending on the year, the reverse contains both English and Chinese, and some of the coins include the Hong Kong Coat of Arms. This fascinating historical collection comes in a stunning album and includes a certificate of authenticity. Dates vary.
