At its peak, the Hanseatic League consisted of 22 Dutch cities along with many other German, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, and Belgian cities located mainly around the Baltic Sea. Their cooperative trading network created a successful flow for salt, fish, grains, wine, beer, and cloth, among other things.
